Easter at the Fryar's!

Easter was a little rainy around Houston. We had big plans but decided that since we had rain that we should just stay around the house. These are the times that I miss my family most. I remember as a child going out to the Amarillo Country Club for Easter egg hunts and then going to my grandparent's houses. We always had so much fun. So I have made a promise to myself and to Lils that next year will be much different. But, we still ended up having a great time. We had a little egg hunt with the neighbors next door. We love to hang out with them. Lily got dressed up and went straight out for some eggs. She actually knew what to do this time. After 2 other practice rounds she was a pro. I think she would be perfectly happy if we had an egg hunt every morning. It got her up and moving. This girl ate so much junk all weekend that by the end of Sunday her tummy was doing all different kinds of flips :) Not to mention the way her mommy and daddy felt after eating all of the junk we wouldn't let her eat.
Hopefully you can see the eggs in there.. Next time I will pull my weeds before putting all the eggs out. All I see when I see these pics is a precious little girl and WEEDS!!!!!

So since the day was so beautiful we went outside with our new splash pad that the Easter bunny brought. Lily loved it.. She had so much fun with the spraying water fountains. Well that was she had fun after she was attacked by fire ants--- but we are all good from that. So all in all Easter turned out to be a great day.

Mudbugs before Easter!

We went to a friends house this weekend for mudbugs. I am not a fan at all, but Mike thinks they are wonderful. We had a great time. Lily played and played for over 4 hours. She was beat when we got home. YES, this is my favorite.... Just in case you need to know.. The Easter Lily is my fave!
Yes, this is the reason I don't care for mudbugs, look at the poor guys.

They had a sand table in their backyard. Lily thought it was great. I am not sure we will ever have one of those. The mess was unreal. Not to mention Lily ate every bit of sand she could get her hands on. If she wasn't eating it she was putting it in her hair.

If she wasn't putting it in her hair... Kevin was pouring it down her skirt. :)

They had so many toys in their backyard that Lils wasn't sure where to start.

Yes, that's right Lily is on her way to hitting this poor kid. I don't know what her deal is. I have to put a stop to this and quick!

School egg hunt!

We had our first little Easter egg hunt at school on Thursday afternoon. I had been out of town all week and this was the first time Lily had seen me since Monday morning. When I walked in the door she looked at me said, "Momma, Momma, Momma" ran up to me hugged me and wouldn't let go. The she went on to let me know how unhappy she was that I had left her for so long. Awwww I missed her.
Before going out for the hunt Lily was more interested in chips than anything else. I can understand that, I feel the same way. But, really why chips??
She is all prepared to go somewhere. She doesn't know where, but she is ready.
Here comes the bunny and here comes all of the tears. I have never seen Lily run so fast in her life. She couldn't hide behind me fast enough. Maybe next year fuzzy bunny.
All these eggs everywhere and the kids just stood around looking at one another or playing with their toys that they play with all of the time.
Yes, that is a pig that Lily is holding. See she likes that better then the colorful eggs.
And again with a toy that she rides everyday.
Oh wait, that's my girl. Bring mommy all the goodies! Snickers please...

And then inside for a picnic. It was too windy to have it outside. And since mommy was there she did not want to sit at the table she just wanted to sit in my lap. We are hoping that the weather will allow for a fun Easter here. But, the rain is looking like it is wanting to come instead. I will post pics of Easter. McF

Lily's Adventures in Amarillo

We went to Amarillo for our own little Spring Break. The first part of the visit was a little rough with Lils not feeling 100%. But, as the days went on we had more and more fun. She loves spending every second with her Mo (Meh is more like how she says it). She can't wait to wake up in the morning and find out what Meh is doing. So funny they both are.
We took her out to the Cadillac Ranch so she could see the cars and run around on the dirt roads. More about Cadillac Ranch can be found:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_Ranch

After a great day out in the open on Thursday, Friday was spent holed up in the house watching the blizzard like conditions outside. The wind was blowing and the flakes were coming down fast. Lily was not allowed outside in the conditions because poor little angel did not have a coat. Although her daddy tried to save the day and overnight it Thursday night, the weather conditions on Friday would not allow for UPS to run. So no coat for Punkin'! Although Saturday was a beautiful day and Lily got to get out and see what the white stuff was all about. She was not sure of it at first, and then she decided she did not like it one bit.
We are looking forward to Mo coming to Houston in 2 weeks. I know that Lily misses her already. I can't decide if she is calling out for momma or Meh..
Milestones:
she barks like a dog
growls like a lion
shakes her finger from side to side as if to tell you that's a NO NO
she also puts her finger over her mouth and shush's you
she says choo (shoe) when pulling on her feet
there are other things that she is "saying" but we are not sure what they are.

Texas Flower and our baby girl!

Here are a few pics of Lily in the bluebonnets. We had visitors for the weekend and we went towards College Station to check out the wild flowers. Landon and Lily had a great time together.
