A fun filled weekend

Lily had a great weekend. On Friday night she took the lion out for a stroll along the sidewalk. She can not get enough of that toy. All she has to do is just take a glimpse at it and she gets fired up to take it for a stroll. She gets really mad though, sometimes the walls in the house get in her way. She is learning to turn it around or just push it the wrong way.

On Saturday she helped Pops and Uncle Dudley take the front door down. She was such a big help. She took a 3 hour nap that afternoon. I guess the manual labor got to her.
We went to watch her cousin Ryan play flag football. She spent most of the time trying to steal water and pringles that her cousin Sarah had. Sarah would drop a chip on her dress and Lily would pick it off and try and eat it. She is still to small for pringles. Although she would argue that.

Hurricane Lily

Well we survived the Hurricane and everything is fine at our house. Lily and I got to go and see Mo while we waited patiently for the power to turn back on. Mo was excited to have us. She was sad that she was not going to see Lily in September, so it worked out in her favor.

We stayed in Amarillo for 3 nights. Lily was of course spoiled some more and was allowed to get into everything she wanted to. Can't wait to see Mo again for Halloween.

We were then on a plane to Austin to see her aunts. We took Aunt Roo out for her birthday dinner. We were staying at a hotel in Austin and low and behold we had a fire alarm sounding at 4AM. That was nothing but fun. Lily was outside waiving to everyone that was walking by. She was like gee mom thanks for waking me up to come out to meet new friends. We had a stroller ride around the parking lot at 5, and Lily decided at 5:30 she was tired and it was time to go to sleep. I thought for sure she would be sleeping in, but she was ready to go and see Aunt Lou, so we got dressed and went and saw Leslie and Lily's cousin Norman. He is the big white guy pictured below. He is a gentle giant, and can sure sniff out a dirty diaper from miles and miles away.

Lily turned 10 months old on Saturday and we spent the day doing what she does best---playing and getting into things. Mom even accidently squished her little fingers in the door. It was awful. I was so sad for her. You never feel more guilty then when you are the one that causes the pain.

I am now busy planning for her birthday party. I can't wait for the big day. McF

On the move!

Lily is for sure on the move. She has been going and going. She went to the park to swing for the first time this past weekend. She thought that was great her own little park right down the street. I am sure when she gets older that is where we will be found.

We went to a birthday party on Saturday and Lily got into the moonwalk. She was not sure what to do in there but she loved crawling around and being able to bounce around. She had a little trouble sharing some of the toys. We will have to work on that in the years to come. She would basically just bump the other children out of the way.

I have an old teddy bear that I got in college and Lily has become best friends with it. Whenever she is crying and you bring the bear around she just smiles and pounces on it. I have named it mama bear. I guess it is now hers. Not that I was using it or anything.

Lily's Busy Week

Lily had a busy week last week. First off she got sent home from school with poopy problems and then she got a new toy that she can not get enough of. She thought getting sent home from school early and coming home to a new toy was wonderful. She got a little lion walker that she loves to take all over the house. She runs into anything and everything in her path.

She got to see her Aunt DeAnna and spend the weekend with her. Then her uncle D and Aunt Jessica came over for a couple of hours to see the baby again. I don't think any of them had seen her since she was 4 weeks old. A lot changes in that amount of time.

Mike and I participated in a 10k on Sunday night and Lily got to spend the night hanging out with her Gramma. She thought that was fun. No telling what the 2 of them got into. What happens with Gramma stays with Gramma! :)

We go in for her 9 month check-up tomorrow so I will let you all know how that goes. McF
