On Sunday we decided that we should get out and wash our trucks. Lily took this as a great idea and couldn't wait to help. She got her wagon out and her little bike and then decided that she would help daddy out with his truck. Needless to say we learned that we are not good at washing cars and should never attempt this again.

Anything with water is considered FUN!
Aunt Lou and cousin Norman came for a quick visit Friday night. Lily and Norman played in the water and ran around the yard together. She was so excited to see him, oh and Lou too. Norman is so gentle with Lily!

Tubes and Fun!
Lily got tubes in her ears last Friday. It was a mother's nightmare.. The procedure itself was so quick and simple, but the thought that I had put into it was awful.
We got to The Children's Hospital at 6:15, what an amazing place that is. There were toys gallore for all of the kids to play with. The called us back and had us put our baby in her yellow scrubs and then right at 8:30 they came and got her and her monkey. Back to surgery they went. I did not even have time to take 3 sips out of my diet coke before the doctor was coming to tell us that Lily was wonderful and that she was sleeping soundly. They had warned us that she might be a little upset waking up. When we walked back to see her, I sent Mike first because I was too afraid to see her upset. There she was sitting on the nurse's lap waiving and saying "hi" to everyone. It was such a relief. She downed a box of gatorade and a posicle and we were sent on our way.

When we got home she ate a little and went down for a nap. Then it was time to challenge daddy at washers. She never acted like anything had happened that day. She was such a trooper. I was exhausted by bedtime!
Memorial Day Excitement!
Trip to Galveston!
Where oh where have I been. I am slacking on the blog. We went to Galveston a couple of weeks ago with our neighbors. Daddy was playing golf so Lily and I headed to the water. Lily loves hanging around Kathryn, I guess because Kathryn is older and cooler. They love to play dress up together.
Lily was not sure what to think about the water. I think it really scared her at first. By the time we were heading out she was ready to jump in. I can't wait to take her to San Diego in November so she can see what a real ocean looks like.
