Lily's Adventures in Amarillo

We went to Amarillo for our own little Spring Break. The first part of the visit was a little rough with Lils not feeling 100%. But, as the days went on we had more and more fun. She loves spending every second with her Mo (Meh is more like how she says it). She can't wait to wake up in the morning and find out what Meh is doing. So funny they both are.
We took her out to the Cadillac Ranch so she could see the cars and run around on the dirt roads. More about Cadillac Ranch can be found:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_Ranch

After a great day out in the open on Thursday, Friday was spent holed up in the house watching the blizzard like conditions outside. The wind was blowing and the flakes were coming down fast. Lily was not allowed outside in the conditions because poor little angel did not have a coat. Although her daddy tried to save the day and overnight it Thursday night, the weather conditions on Friday would not allow for UPS to run. So no coat for Punkin'! Although Saturday was a beautiful day and Lily got to get out and see what the white stuff was all about. She was not sure of it at first, and then she decided she did not like it one bit.
We are looking forward to Mo coming to Houston in 2 weeks. I know that Lily misses her already. I can't decide if she is calling out for momma or Meh..
Milestones:
she barks like a dog
growls like a lion
shakes her finger from side to side as if to tell you that's a NO NO
she also puts her finger over her mouth and shush's you
she says choo (shoe) when pulling on her feet
there are other things that she is "saying" but we are not sure what they are.

Texas Flower and our baby girl!

Here are a few pics of Lily in the bluebonnets. We had visitors for the weekend and we went towards College Station to check out the wild flowers. Landon and Lily had a great time together.

Old McDonald's Farm!

On Saturday Lily and I met Baylee and Amber at Old McDonald's farm in Humble. It had been a couple of months since the girls had gotten together so we thought it was about time for that. We went on a little train ride around the park. Of course the girls did not get to sit together for the ride, Lily spent most of the ride trying to climb out and get the animals. Baylee sat like a little lady and did not try to get out once. Lily squealed at every animal that we past. Apologies to every one else on that train.
Here is an example of Lily squealing her lungs out at the sheep. While Baylee sits back and thinks that Lily has lost her mind.

This is my most favorite picture of Lily. I just love how she is not afraid of the deer at all. She is even trying to share their food with them. I guess she thinks that since she gave them the food that she should be able to try it out as well.
We went to lunch after and the girls shared some chicken nuggets. They were actually very well behaved considering how tired they were from the farm. They entertained everyone that was sitting next to us.
Here is my little angel on the way home. She was worn out from her day. I can not wait to find the next fun place to take her.

sleep baby sleep!

I have always always always wanted to take pics of her sleeping. But, with my old camera the flah would never work for the pics to turn out. So here you go, our little punkin fast asleep with her feet hanging over the bed.

New Camera.... oh we love it!

I finally got my new camera and we are already loving it. Last night we took over 100 pictures of yep... you guessed it... LILY BELLE.. She was not sure what in the world was going on but we sure had so much fun with it. So get ready for some good quality pictures and fun.

The weekend with Mo.

I was out of town most of last week and Mo flew into Austin to spend the night with me and then drive back to Houston to see her baby. When we got to the daycare you can only imagine how excited I was to see my baby girl. She ran right past me and into Mo's arms. Wow that was sad for me. But, I am so happy that she loves my mom as much as she does. We went to Best Buy to get Lily a dvd player for her dad's truck and for her to take on the plane with her. She had so much fun driving the cart around. She really thought she was driving it.
It was really chilly on Sunday and Lily just had to go outside. So we bundled her up and sent her on her way.

We were off to lunch before taking Mo to the airport. We stopped at Lupe Tortilla for a bite to eat. When we walked up the steps Lily noticed the big sand box and wanted to get in it right away. Of course we wanted her to eat first. So we sat down for lunch and Lily never once forgot what was outside. So as soon as Mo was done eating they were off to the sand.

She even got to ride the horse at the restaurant. She loves horsies. I can not wait to take her to Amarillo in March and let her play on the horsies there. She was so small the last time she was on a horse. Maybe we can even talk Mo into letting us both ride a horse.

This was such a cute idea. But, Lily just would not sit in that wagon. We did not get to go to the Zoo because of the weather, but hopefully soon we will be going there.
We want to thank daddy for taking such good care of baby girl while mommy was away. She had a very high fever and he handled it like a pro. While I was in the hotel calling the doctor at midnight he was hanging out with his baby girl. He is MUCH MUCH more calm then me. We love daddy and think he rocks!
