A day with the ducks!

We went to feed the ducks this afternoon and Lily thought that was great. She couldn't believe what was going on. We did not take enough bread so it was a quick trip, next time I will know. It has been years and years since I have fed ducks, and it was actually fun. This is the type of thing that I want to do with Lily often. I want to do all of the fun things with her. She deserves to see everything and do everything, and that is just what I intend to do.

We are having friends over for Superbowl tomorrow night, so I have been walking around like a mad woman trying to get this house in some sort of shape for visitors. It will be a great night and I will post pics sometime during the week. Besitos-McF

So lucky we are!

Saturday morning shopping with the family!

Big girl trying to figure out what it is she wants to eat upside down! Daddy took us to IHOP for breakfast and while mom was eating some healthy nut pancakes and fake eggs, Lily was enjoying the good stuff. She had pancakes, eggs, and bacon!
Saturday night was date night for mom and dad. Lily went over to Ms. Salma's (aunt Salma is what I call her) She got to play with her friends there and chase the poor cat all around the house. When we went to pick her up at 11 she was passed out on the floor, she looked so peaceful and here we come waking her up. So I figured on the way home I would sit in the back and keep her company. I told her all about our date and that we sat at a restaurant and talked about her the entire time. Have we really become those people? At least no one else was around to hear us. She just looked at me with the heaviest eyes and was like mommy I have had a hard night and frankly your story is boring me too. So I was quiete the rest of the ride home and put her in her crib and she was fast asleep in no time.

I have come to the conclusion that Mike and I have to be the luckiest couple in the world. There are so many reasons why this is, but Lily is the main reason. Here are just a few things that make us love her more and more everyday!
1) she wakes up with a huge smile on her face everyday.
2) she loves life and loves to be around people
3) she walks around the house all day saying DA DA DA DA
4) she loves her bath
5) she loves to chase the cats and dogs
6) she loves putting the dogs in the cage when it is time to leave
7) she goes straight to the fridge when I ask her if she wants milk
8) she loves to go outside (I don't care how cold it is outside)
9) she loves riding in the car and watching her videos
10) a ride in her little red wagon is the most exciting thing to her
11) she loves to blow kisses and waive to ANYONE and EVERYONE
12) she loves to eat whatever mommy puts in front of her (no complaints)
13) she loves to give kisses (open mouth that is)
14) she reminds me everyday why it is I am so in love with her
15) she reminds me everyday why it is that I am so in love with her DA DA DA DA
16) she loves to sit in the sink and let mommy fix her hair and brush her teeth
17) she loves to show you her belly and pull your shirt up and show you your own belly
18) she loves to put her food in her hair
19) she loves to listen to music (no matter how loud it is MIKE)
20) she loves to get in her crib and sleep through the night
21) she makes everyday a great day, no matter what has happened
22) she loves to go to school and see her friends
23) she loves to play, no matter where she is
24) she loves to play washers with her daddy (becoming an everyday thing)
25) she is just Lily and that is enough for me
I was just thinking today about how much I love her and why I love her so much and there are many many more then what I listed, I just wanted to jot down a few.

Here she is with her Elmo restaurant. She likes to try and stand on it rather then cook! Hopefully she gets the cooking gene from someone other than me. We all know I sure don't have that.
I have these baskets in her playroom and she loves to take them off the shelf and take every toy out of them and then hurry to either my phone or the remote control. Go figure, but I continue to buy her every little toy that I see.
This is a little game that she loves to play. I know the wires look a little frightful with a 14 month old in the room. We will work on that. She loves to go up to the tv and turn off the volume and look at daddy like ha ha ha. So it was a big game today to get her to turn it back on and leave it alone. Well she won the game. Here she is with her belly. She loves to show it off and if you are not careful she will show the world your belly too. So that is also a fun game that we play in the Fryar household.
Just a happy little girl hanging out with her little bear. She loves to give Lizzie kisses. UGH, I know I should not encourage this one. But, they are both my little girls.

She's a big girl now 14 months!

Lily has moved up to the Toddler 1 class at school. This is a great thing and a sad thing for me. Sad because she is no longer a baby, no bottles, no more crib at school, no more 2 naps a day. Happy simply because she is just blowing and going. She loves her new class, she sits at a table for breakfast and lunch, eats off of a plate, and attempts to use a spoon. She has nap time where she actually sleeps on the floor on a mat (thanks Aunt Weazer for the most wonderful mat). They have story time, all the kids gather around and read a book out loud. I really like her teachers, they seem to be really working with her. They use flashcards to explain what things are and what all the colors are. The even go out for recess in the afternoon, I just want to be a bird in the sky to watch her at recess. Lord knows I could not just peak around the corner to watch her, she knows who her mommy is and wants to be near me at all times. I just can not believe that she is growing up so fast. When I pick her up in the afternoon she looks like she has just run a marathon and is worn out. She stays awake long enough for mommy to get her some dinner and then she is off to bed. Last Friday night she was so tired that she ate her dinner, got out of her highchair and went straight to her crib and tried to get in. She slept from 5:30pm-7:30am (well with a little break in between to meet the new people at her house). She used to stay up until 7:30 and now we are lucky to have her awake at 6. I miss spending time with her at night, but I know that she will get past this and will get used to all the activities of the day. Tonight I hope she has enough in her to watch President Obama on DVR, I recorded it for her since she was at school and unable to watch it live. McF

Fun times in H-town!

This weekend was a busy one and we had so much fun. Friday night I had a dinner party and had some friends over. We had a blast! We played rockband and thought we were seriously that good. We have made some new friends from Alabama that came over to join the normal dinner club, normal I mean (Leah and Curtis). We had a lot of fun and can not wait for the next one. Sunday afternoon we headed to LeeLee's and CC's for an early supper. Lily thought it was great being taken around the yard in her "little red wagon" she thought that was great. It is hard to load up every toy in the house to go to their house so I thought that the wagon would do the trick. Well we ended up pulling her around and then she wanted to pull the wagon, so not sure if my plan worked out.

She then decided that drinking out of the dog bowl was a good idea. After she was drinking out of it she decided to play in it- so off with her shirt.

Uncle CC and Daddy will be so proud!

We have a new hobby in the Fryar household. Yes, that's right Lily loves to play washers. She is actually pretty good. She knows to put the washers in the hole and to take them down to the other board and place them on the board. It is so funny to watch. Lily is not much for letting daddy play, she would much rather play. She can sit on the board and play forever. Wonder what she will pick up next. McF

Wild and crazy weekend!

Hello.......... We had a really fun weekend. Lily was invited to a birthday party in Humble on Saturday. So we drove out there for the festivities. It was a bit chilly out, but that did not stop Lily at all. She wanted to be with all the other kids, and chase a poor dog all around the yard. She loves dogs, so funny to watch. Speaking of dogs, she had her first hot dog there. She loved it, I think she is more and more like her daddy with eating meat. Mommy is more of a chicken girl.. But, Lily will eat any of it.

Mommy got a wii for Christmas and Lily loves to sit and watch the bowling- she even claps in the right places. I bought wii fit and can not keep her off the board (we will have to work on her balance for sure).

All in all things are going wonderful---oh oops did I mention that the angel got written up again in day care??? Yes, it happened again----she bit a little boy. I think I am justifying it though- she was shoved first so it was self defense. I do hope that the biting goes away and soon. She does not bite me or Mike so I don't ever get a chance to tell her NO. I had a melt down the other night thinking I was doing this entire parenting thing all wrong. But, I have wonderful friends that helped me understand what to do. It is scary at times, not knowing exactly what to do when they act up. I have to remember that she is only a baby- well an almost 14 month old baby.

She has found her brother's house and seems to just love getting in there and shutting the door behind her. It is so funny in the morning she knows that the dogs have to be put up before leaving for school so she gets them rounded up and into their houses. Everyday is something new, and we are having a blast with her. McF

Happy New Year!

Well here we are in 2009. Happy New Year to All. We have started off the new year with a bang----- no more bottles for my sweet angel. She is doing so good with her sippy cup, I guess it was harder on me then it was for her. I think it is just the last step in her not being a baby anymore.
New Years Eve we took baby girl to the park for some swingin' time. She had fun, but might still be a little small for that. Mommy and daddy went out to dinner while Gamma stayed home and played with Lils. Thanks Gamma!
I can not even explain how all over the place this little angel is. She loves books- she would walk up to a stranger and have them read a book to her.
I hope you all had a wonderful New Years, and 2009 will be a great year!!! All our love, Frytown!
