She's a big girl now 14 months!

Lily has moved up to the Toddler 1 class at school. This is a great thing and a sad thing for me. Sad because she is no longer a baby, no bottles, no more crib at school, no more 2 naps a day. Happy simply because she is just blowing and going. She loves her new class, she sits at a table for breakfast and lunch, eats off of a plate, and attempts to use a spoon. She has nap time where she actually sleeps on the floor on a mat (thanks Aunt Weazer for the most wonderful mat). They have story time, all the kids gather around and read a book out loud. I really like her teachers, they seem to be really working with her. They use flashcards to explain what things are and what all the colors are. The even go out for recess in the afternoon, I just want to be a bird in the sky to watch her at recess. Lord knows I could not just peak around the corner to watch her, she knows who her mommy is and wants to be near me at all times. I just can not believe that she is growing up so fast. When I pick her up in the afternoon she looks like she has just run a marathon and is worn out. She stays awake long enough for mommy to get her some dinner and then she is off to bed. Last Friday night she was so tired that she ate her dinner, got out of her highchair and went straight to her crib and tried to get in. She slept from 5:30pm-7:30am (well with a little break in between to meet the new people at her house). She used to stay up until 7:30 and now we are lucky to have her awake at 6. I miss spending time with her at night, but I know that she will get past this and will get used to all the activities of the day. Tonight I hope she has enough in her to watch President Obama on DVR, I recorded it for her since she was at school and unable to watch it live. McF
