Mother's Day Weekend!

We loaded the Tahoe and headed to Austin for Mother's Day Weekend. What better place to go then my favorite city in the world.

My mommy sent me these beautiful flowers, thanking me for Lily.

We stayed at the Hilton in downtown Austin, what a perfect place for us. Close to everything and such big rooms, that the 3 of us were not all cramped in there.
Friday night we met Deanna (Mike's sister) for dinner at Opal Divines. The food was okay, but the atmosphere was Austin, and that is what I loved about it. We sat outside on the deck and watched Lily run around and around and around all night. There were dogs that she talked to tried to feed. She had a good time and was out way past her bedtime. We got back to the hotel at 10, 3 hours after her bedtime. She was a trooper.

Saturday we headed to Lake Austin to shoe Lily her first lake. She would have given us away if she could have had one dip in that lake. Sorry baby we will find you a lake to swim in.

The hotel had a salt water pool so we jumped in there after lunch. Lily was ready for a nap so her enjoyment of the pool was only short lived. Her and daddy went up to the room for a nap, so Lou and I enjoyed people watching for an hour.

We took baby girl to Amy's ice cream. If you remember correctly, these are the people that we had serving ice cream at our wedding. So she had her first Amy's and I have to admit, it was a hit.

Saturday night we set out for some BBQ. We went to the Salt Lick. When coming around the corner you would not have believed the amount of cars that were there. I thought to myself or maybe even out loud, there is no way that Lily will be able to wait that long to eat. Mike got out and put us on the list and sure enough it was 1.5 hour wait.
We had so much fun during that wait, we were sad that it was over. The band was actually our friends Blake and Fallon (we had no idea they were playing) so Lily had a blast listening to them and filling their tip jar with rocks.

Matt and Lily had a good dinner together. He was sharing his food with her and she was sharing with him. It was nice to see Lou's man so good with kids. Lily loved him, he got up to go to the restroom and Lily cried. :(

We left the Salt Lick around 10 and headed back to town for bed. Lily was again up way past her bedtime and was nothing but a little trooper the entire time.

It was time for bed and look who got to the remote first. Thank-you little family for the best Mother's Day. I sure am lucky to have you all. Muah!
